Family and Friends, I can never thank you enough for all the kind words, cards and love you have shown me and my family. I would try to respond individually, but right now I can't read my own writing! I do believe in miracles too so i think I'm in pretty good shape considering all the prayers on my behalf. I am so lucky and so grateful. You know when Kaylen passed away I prayed that if my family had another challenge because we do face them because we learn so many valuable eternal lessons that I prayed it would be me that could go through not one of my children or my husband and that i could have a fighting chance and thats exactly what happened so I'm at peace. I have been given amazing blessings and I know the Lord answers prayers so its all going to be OK, but again I can't thank you enough for all your love, prayers and support. Love to you all, Nanette
Dear Sister Abarca,
ReplyDeleteWith all you are going through, I've found myself wondering how I could help. In the middle of the night this came to me.
We all know laughter is the best medicine, right? So here goes - a joke for you.
To Be Six Again
George was a thoughtful husband after all these years. He wanted to give his wife something special for her birthday which was coming up soon. As he sat on the edge of the bed, he watched his wife turning back and forth and looking at herself in the mirror. "Reta," he said, "What would you like for your birthday?"
His wife continued to look at herself and said, "I'd like to be six again."
George knew just what to do. On the big day, he got up early and made his wife a bowl of Fruit Loops. Then he took her to an amusement park where they rode all the rides. Five hours later, Reta's stomach felt upside down and her head was reeling. Never the less, George took her to McDonald's and bought her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Next, it was a movie with popcorn, soda and her favorite candy.
As Reta wobbled into the house that evening and flopped on the bed, George asked her, "Well, Dear, what was it like to be six again?"
Reta looked up at him. Her expression changed. She said, "I meant my dress size!"
I hope I don't offend you in any way, so tell me to just stop if I do.
Have a happy day.
Love, Cherrie
Nanette, I've pondered this post many, many times over the past several weeks. Your faith has inspired me more than words say. Linda Perkins
