Four Days to Go!!

December 2-3:  Back to radiation but on the home stretch.  Just four days this week and then she is through with the radiation treatments.  It sounded like a long haul when we started at the beginning of six weeks (5 days a week) but she is almost there.  The weather has been wonderful until today with the first big snow storm of the season,  But we drove slowly and carefully (trying to remember that winter can prepare us for the loveliness of spring).  The doctor said her lab reports were still good although her platelets are slightly lower.  He said they were not overly concerned at this point but are going to continue monitoring her carefully.  Her headaches have decreased but she has been having a mild problem with reflux and she's taking medication to help with that.  She takes her last chemo pill Tuesday night then radiation Wednesday and Thursday and then 30 days of rest from it all before she starts the chemo again.
